NICE! I love how you suggest a lawyer for stealing Zep beats 'cause Page is INSANELY protective. and it's funny even as he seemed to have lifted so much of 'his' music, a fair amount of Page's Zep riffs were direct rips! ANYWAYS...I know we're talking JB here...but still, Page, anyone notice how he looks like a grandma now?

Touché, Nipper.

I believe LZ eventually gave financial due to the musicians (or their descendants, anyway) from whom they "borrowed" riffs. It could be argued that what Page did to embellish those original riffs was so extraordinary that it constituted a new composition, but I'm not going to fight that battle on a Monday morning.

Dazed and Confused - Yardbirds arrangement/Jake Holmes writer - still credited to Page, never gone to court.

Page was always a better player then writer, his session work has always impressed me way beyond any Zep stuff.

So, Nipper, tell us what you think about Hendrix. I'm all ears...

And those plexiglass drums, were those just for the live show, or did he record with them too. I've never played plastic drums, but I can't imagine they sound very good.

hmmm, who is this...Hendrix?! Hendricks? I don't know...

and plastic drums sound GREAT. my uncle had a set, playing those sorta set me to playing, in fact. and Luke, from the Gimmicks, he had a plexi glass set that sounded awesome. I think JB's drum sound was in the production, which I WILL give to mr. page, he was an awesome producer. but he spent YEARS as a session man so he had LOTS of time to learn studio tricks...he prolly had the first wah pedal (dig the Kinks) and fuzz box in the UK.
