Book Jazzkammer”¦ Please

posted by on August 6 at 22:15 PM

Jazzkammer (John Hegre and Lasse Marhaug), experimental noise/metal duo from Norway, will be on the West Coast in October, and it appears as if they have yet to nail down a Seattle show. I know about five people in this town, most of them belonging to the hoi polloi. But surely, some of you Line Out readers must have friends in high places (promoters/ venue owners) who can land these boys a show… Seattle needs Jazzkammer! Go here for mp3s of a few live performances, or go here for a download from their new Metal Music Machine album.

I honestly don't know if anyone has attempted to get them here. Judging by the schedule posted on the message board, looks like there’s only that one day open in which they may be able to hit Seattle. But you should definitely at least give it a shot.

That sounds like a great idea. You know people there? Speaking of 1412, does anybody have any reflections on the Tom Carter show that went down there two weekends ago?

I do not, but I know plenty of people who've played there - I think their web site is gallery1412.org - should be able to find booking info there.

Amy Dials! I totally saw you the other day walking past the 76 on Broadway! I was going to hoot out my window but I was talking to my mom on the phone. That’s my first Amy Dials spotting since moving here. I actually factored you in to my 5 (as a maven, not one of the hoi polloi : ). I forgot about Abe though. Most definitely, Eugene represent!
