...and myself, for that matter. The schedule for the Touch and Go 25th Anniversary shows is up in its entirety. Saturday looks so exciting, I think my heart might explode out of my chest. Sure, there's only 20 minutes...

I wish I could make it out...I wiped out my job's PTO on my wedding this summer. It looks like a lot of loudness...I look forward to your take on it. I am a bit miffed that I'll miss The Monorchid, and...BIG BLACK! Ugh...I think I remember reading that one of the last shows they played was out here, with the late Steven Jesse Bernstein opening for 'em. I never did get around to seeing Pegboy...I played their "Strong Reaction" LP to death...blah blah, I should've bought some tickets, eh?

The very last Big Black show was were in Seattle. Steven Jesse Bernstein did open, and some other band, too. There is a video bootleg of the show however. It is called "Last Blast" There is a very young Mark Arm in the front row at the show. Big Black threw fire crakers.
T&G200 is going to be amazing. Scratch Acid! Shellac! Big Black! Man or Astroman?! I can't wait! I don't know if Im going Friday because my flight lands at 8pm, but Saturday and Sunday for sure!
My friends in Chicago say that the venue is excellent.
Anyway, see everyone there.

And Killdozer can not be more highly recommended.

Indeed, Big Black's last blast took place at the Georgetown steam plant. Roland Barker provided atmospheric sounds and Jesse Bernstein gave a reading. A plaintive cry came from the audience during his reading, "play some music," to which he retorted, "this is music, asshole!" That put the kibosh on any further heckling. Some lucky bastard got the broken shards of Albini's guitar as he shattered it at the end of the show.

DO NOT leave before Uzeda plays...all I ever had was an EP from them but it was amazing. They sound a bit like Jesus Lizard except from Sicily, with a female singer, and all the lyrics are in broken English. "Touch me..." "touch my movie....""aaaaaaaah!"

I'm so jealous.
