The Bootylib crew is bringing in DJ Godfather for their pre-Halloween edition of their booty music monthly. Should you be excited? Definitely. While DJ Assault is the man with the recognizable classics (“Ass & Titties,” “Yo’ Relatives”), DJ Godfather’s name is truly fitting, as one of the true elder statesmen of what was once ghettotech, now often called accelerated funk (whatever, it’s still a hypersexual amalgam of techno, electro and hip-hop). Not only a master of track selection and production, he’s got no shortage of skills behind the decks, busting out a trick or twelve just to show you he knows what’s up, but not showboating to a point that the party vibe gets broken up. Most importantly DJ Godfather knows how rock a party, and between the raunchy ghettotech he’ll be playing and the “what happens on Halloween stays on Halloween” mood, there aren’t better opportunities out there to find yourself a new “friend” for the night.
