Upcoming Can’t Make It To Coachella?

Eric’s list of artists playing Coachella this year have gotten a lot of people around the office and the world slobbering for tickets. But what if you don’t want to or can’t afford to go? Here’s a very short and definitely incomplete list of Coachella-booked acts that will be making it to Seattle around the same time.
The Coup @ Neumo’s 3/3 (with Lyrics Born!)
Blonde Redhead @ the Showbox 4/21
Rodrigo Y Gabriela @ the Showbox 4/24
Konono #1 @ the Triple Door 4/27
Explosions in the Sky @ Neumo’s 5/6
Also, here are some artists that are playing Coachella that are coming in the near future:
Girl Talk @ Chop Suey 1/27
Lupe Fiasco @ the UW HUB Ballroom 1/31
The Roots @ the Showbox 2/3
Of Montreal @ the Showbox 2/9 (with the Blow!)
Sparklehorse @ the Showbox 2/14
Grizzly Bear @ Neumo’s 2/16
Rumors are floating around about many, many more of Coachella’s artists playing Seattle. We’ll keep you updated right here and in our new searchable calendar of music events up in that right hand corner. So don’t get too jealous of those California desert dwellers!

From the division list:
A lot of stuff hasn't been announced yet, but what I can tell you that's
coming through for sure is...
Stephen and Damian Marley
LCD Soundsystem
Blonde Redhead
Peeping Tom
Explosions in the Sky
Hot Chip
Coco Rosie
The Coup
Junior Boys
Sparklehorse
The Kooks
Grizzly Bear
Tapes N Tapes
Wow, you can watch boring bands here in Seattle just like at Coachella? Sweet!
Unless Björk or the Jesus and Mary Chain are gonna drop by Seattle any time soon, I'm going to have to try to make it to Cali this April.
Live luck has been good to us, and nearly every Coachella name worth seeing came around to Seattle the last couple of years, which makes it hard to wax nostalgic over the haven't-learned-from-their-mistakes festival.
"nearly every Coachella name worth seeing
came around to Seattle the last couple of
years" except for daft fucking punk!? :(
That's a great idea, to post that list :) But on the other hand... how many of those will be all ages shows? :( As opposed to coachella being an all ages festival
