There's a place up on the west side of Stone Way around 42nd-44th, red-and-white sign, name with three letters, maybe an acronym? I had mine worked on a few times there over the last decade and bought new needle cartridges. Depending on the seriousness of the problem, I'd say you are looking at 50-150 dollars.

Uncle Meat. Now we're talking.

J&S Phono - that's on Roosevelt, just north of The Trading Musician, in that spot where Definitive Audio, The Landing, and the Sunlight Cafe are. If I'm wrong about the name, there is another joint in that same area - just walk around.

[they're so nice to put their sticker on your turntable after they fix it. helps in moments like these.]

prepare to leave it there for at least a couple weeks. perhaps longer.

they're closed sundays [and i think mondays] and they close around 3 on saturdays - so plan accordingly.

Agree completely that J&S is the place to go to get an old turntable repaired. Nearby is Hawthorne Stereo where they have a pretty good used room if you are interested in finding some older analog gear.
