Shit Talk Re: The Boys with the Palm Trees and Purple Sunset

Remember almost a year ago when Christopher Frizzelle posted a Belle and Sebastian Fact of the Day every day for a week and a half before the band played in Seattle? Remember when I, absolute hater of all that is Belle and Sebastian, countered his postings with a Mayonnaise Fact of the Day every day for a week and a half?
Man, memories, right?
Some things never change.
In response to Frizzelle’s Belle & Sebastian post below, I’d like to give those who hate that “Boy with the Arab Strap” band something to watch other than a Belle and Sebastian video.
You’re welcome.

Please explain/defend your animosity toward B&S... or at least a link?
...that is, to a previous explanation you may have made.
Here's a blast from the past:

Why did you post something from the Rocket? I hope people out there don't think the Rocket turned into the Stranger or something. That would be a horrid thing to think.
I want to know why Megan dislikes B&S.

how about:
Because they're milquetoast.
Because they're soppy.
Anything past their first two albums is terrible.
they've gotten worse with age.
They're too cheeky, yet somehow, still not cheeky enough to be enjoyable.
Other groups have done it before, and better.
Terrible live performances.
Do you really need more? They're fey and faux at the same time.
They're melodrama is pedantic AND childish.
Music is mediocre.
Sure -- aside from the live performance issue, which would be unique to each specific group -- can't all your criticism above be leveled at all manners of pop music? Every single pop band? You take issue with pop music in general?

No it can't. not every single band. i love pop music.
here's three that i think have gotten better and better over the years.

Terry basically answered the question for me. I especially agree with "They're too cheeky, yet somehow, still not cheeky enough to be enjoyable" and "They're fey and faux at the same time."
Also, I find them boring. BO-RING.
Terry Miller is what's wrong with Line Out.
