Saw him when Underground Nation brought him to ISpy back in 2000 or 2001, and again when he came to Aristocrats. He was always fun, and in person a great guy to hang out with. Funny as hell.
When he came to the ISpy show he said early on "I'll do it without headphones for an extra $200." The promoters didn't pay up, though everyone was sure he could do it.
He will be sorely missed.

Disco D was a cool dude, always down to talk to fans (I was one), and he very obviously loved what he was doing. Just 'cause he's dead doesn't mean every track he ever touched was gold, and my being a fan of his doesn't mean I have to like every track he ever made.
