I saw him play a solo show at Graceland in '03. There were MAYBE 40-60 people there. A few months later he played Neumos to a respectable, but way undersold show. Now he's packin' 'em in. Good for Ted. He's a hard workin' mofo and he deserves it. But as my friend in Minneapolis says, he plays here so much you'd think he lives here. I think my friend's just jealous. Suffice today, Ted Leo coming through town hardly constitutes big news these days. I agree, the holiday show wasn't his best. Nonetheless, I'll be there. With bells on.
