hardcore metal = oxymoron/non sequitur - rhythm often sounds like the Lone Ranger theme - what metal guys or straight edge kids listen to and/or play and think/assume is punk rock.

I don't know what 'hardcore metal' is, but if I remember correctly, Zeotrope (the 80's band) call themselves 'hardcore street metal' on the back of their LP. Or something like that. They look amazing.

That term cracks me up.

The hardcore crowd is more hip than the hipsters. But they have to act tough and talk shit about who they think are hipsters. Meanwhile it takes them 2 hours to get ready before they go out.
