Faust: Worship them.

Ever get the urge to cover a song by Faust? You know Faust: At their best, the krautrock legends are the greatest avant-rock group in the world. Check out their box set The Wümme Years: 1970-73 for ample proof.

On April 1 in Seattle, several bands are going to pay tribute to Faust. Would you like to join them? Then send an email to Jason Glover (jasonmglover@yahoo.com) with “Faust Night” in the subject line and see if you can get in where you fit in.

On Sunday April 1st the SS Marie Antoinette will host
an evening of music of the Legendary "krautrock" band
Faust.

I am currently putting together a bill of local
musicians willing to take on the daunting task of
interpreting selections from the (though limited to 4
LPs) vast canon of Faust material. This will also
serve as a much needed and overdue benefit for the
SSMA.

The recent passing of Uwe Nettelbeck neccesarily makes
this event somewhat of a memorial. However, i would
like to stress that you do not have to be a fan of
Faust or even very familiar with their work to
participate.

Straight covers and wildly varying interpretations are
both encouraged. However it must remain at its core
Faust Music.

Bands and solo artists will be allowed 1 to 3 songs of
your choice, or 10-15 mins. depending on how you look
at it. Short sets are essential to goal of giving as
many acts as possible a spot on the bill. This also
lends to the SSMA's aesthetic of Quantity is Quality.
