This is a lot more exciting than the Police. For starters, Morrissey's been continuing to make interesting music for the past couple of decades, unlike the Police. He's not going to be cranking out geriatric versions of his greatest hits. His last LP was a bizarre and amazing freakshow, maybe the best thing he's done yet. If he brings an orchestra, I'm going.

"He's not going to be cranking out geriatric versions of his greatest hits."

But he does, been peppering his shows with songs by The Smiths for years, depressing everyone in the wrong way.

'You Are The Quarry,' though, is excellent. And "Irish Blood, English Heart" one of the best things Morrissey's ever done.

Peppering is fine; they're his songs, and they are part of an ongoing body of work. If he came out of nowhere and played nothing but "Louder Than Bombs" after a gap of 20 years, that would be repellent.

He's got to stop it with the hair though. Him and that joker from The Cure.
