I like Liz's art for this. Good combination. The writing, the band, the piece. April Fools day. Should be good.

I love the inside / out there there approach.

I disagree w/ Whatevs completely. Get the stick out of your ass. It's called creativity and being different. There's been so much press about Jesse lately, if the Stranger had run an artist profile or a more traditional show preview, you would hated that too.

Yeah, I liked it. If you know Jesse's music, you see Trent dropping hints. He is modulating and interpreting and using metaphor. Cool piece.

I googled Trent Moorman. The dude runs the original course of the marathon in Greece. What it is 26 miles? Yeah, he's a pussy. And his writing just sucks, that's why he won some "Poets and Writers New Millinium Writing Award." read it here.

I don't know maybe he is into glitter and unicorns, but let me see you run a marathon while having a fever. Win a national writing award for it. Then you can make fun of Trent.

Glo---No, I do not work at The Stranger. I haven't won any awards or run any marathons like Trent has, so I guess I wouldn't have what it takes to work there. I guess I'd better start cross training and take a creative writing 101 class immediately. I didn't realize that Trent ran a 26 mile marathon with a fever, wrote about it, and then he won a national writing award! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! I had no idea! I guess I'll have to totally reevaluate my opinion on his Jesse Skyes piece now. If only I would've known he's a good runner and won an award writing about it beforehand. Guess I'd better start Googling writers before I make fun of them. At least run a marathon and win an award first. So Glo, are you Trent's girlfriend or just his stalker? By the way, here's a reading recommendation for you Glo. Enjoy.

This is entertaining. I thought the piece was different and great. Dare I say I had fun reading it?

Does anyone remember when the Stranger printed a mystery novel as one of their issues? It's been a while, I think it was a mystery. The entire issue was a piece of writing, in the format of the Stranger. It was so good. The only content was the writing, except for the ads I think.

Whatevs and Sally Struthers would have had hissies over that.

No, Sally Struthers isn't an ass. She seems like a very nice lady. Here's a picture of her. Doesn't she look glamorous? I loved her in All In The Family. I doubt she would have "hissies" over The Stranger's writing experiments.
