I still kick myself for losing my Betty Davis record in a move. I had bought it for a few bucks in Philly over 10 years ago and it blew my mind. I was wrecked when I lost it.

I picked up a reissue version at Jive Time a few weeks ago. I've given up my resistance to reissues, especially in cases like this.

You're going to want to pick up the CD reissue, too, as it has three previously unreleased tracks cut circa the same time as her debut, and amazing liner notes and pictures.

Which Pittsburgh ghetto? I'm from ye ole steel town, and know it well. I was there during the Rodney King verdict. For kicks, a friend got me stoned and then dragged me through the predominantly afro-american area, Hill District. I guess you could say I was scared shitless. Is that the ghetto you're thinking of?

Not interested? yeah, I rarely get stoned. Occasionally it's nice to go in a different dimension of fear, but I've enough of that destroying paranoia living the straight-edge life.

Ok, let's take the boombox and Betty cassette, and also bring a portable dvd player. We can watch the other Bette in 'What ever happened to baby Jane' Leave our options open. Interested?

The vinyl has been reissued a few times over the years as well, you can find it for pretty cheap if you're lookin'.
