Christopher, I wonder if that's included on my live dvd of them. Not many titles, if any, are on the inside notes.
http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/moonshake
I didn't know Moonshake got their name from them. Live, they blew me away, although later the cds didn't do much for me. Hope to be there for the cover night.

We are going down the rabbit hole if we are covering—and going to see Can cover nights.

Josh, you've lost your mind. There are much greater examples of Americans amusing themselves to death than a Can cover night.

Once upon a time, they had an album called Tago Mago that was supposedly influential.

It's still in print and it's still influencing musicians (no "supposedly" about it).

How do you even cover a Can song; much less have the time to learn a Can song?

Many songs in the their canon (ha) are not that hard, really. Loop and Th' Faith Healers covered "Mother Sky." Jesus & Mary Chain covered "Mushroom." The singer of Ghost covered "You Doo Right." Etc.

These songs, freak out improvs, typically clocked in between 8 and 20 minutes.

Many Can songs clock in under 8 minutes.

Can, if you don’t know, and it’s likely you don’t

Can are pretty well known among serious music fans.

Conclusion: Stick to wonky political posts on Slog.

I've always wanted to see CAN live... "Vitamin C" "Turtles Have Short Legs" "Mushroom" are brilliantly tight. Some of their other songs are, yes, psychedelic spaceouts. If the Beep Repaired kids are putting this together, it'll be an interesting show. We'll see tomorrow!
