Man all the good local bands are breaking up this year.

I've had a chance to talk with Shane via email and posted some comments from him at the Seattle Powerpop Blog. It's an amicable split.

Yep, all the good Seattle bands are breaking up. I sure hope the Lashes stay together. And please, oh please, make sure USE puts out another album before sending their vocoder off to live on a farm.

thats so sad. they played teen centers and capitol hill and downtown venues with the same energy, and i know they won new fans everytime they performed! it seemed they were getting better all the time....

andrew's right -- the divorce put on a great show. i will miss their songs (the CD doesnt do it justice).

the divorce will always live on in many NW hearts! still though, 'tis a sad day...and for the record, I hear that USE is doing a show this Friday at the comet, but shhh, no-ones supposed to know.
