I think that was from when MTV2 did their whole Artist cover Artist thing... Dashboard covered a bunch of R.E.M. live, then Stipe joined him to sing "Hands Down"...
The series was cool... Guster covered the Violent Femmes.
He looks more like Michael Jackson in this photo.
