This has nothing to do with the 'creative community' and everything to do with Fremont parking. I can't park my car there either. Big deal.

Psssssst. Hey. Have you seen the kinds of living spaces and businesses that now populate Fremont? Remember that it didn't used to be that way?

It's coming. It will be happening here on the Hill before you know it. Dig trenches.

When you live in a vibrant city, you must expect change.

If the city didn't change and grow inward, it would change and grow outward, creating more sprawl and strip-malls which creates a void in the inner city.

I dislike when my favorite places are destroyed for more condos, too. But buildings and nostalgia aren't what make a city, it's the people.

Thank you, Andrew. That guy (or girl) is just trying to sell t-shirts anyway. Pfft.

Actually, I think what's being said there is that when the rich people move in, things like harassment and nitpicking over who's parked properly near who's driveway increases. So do noise complaints. So do fire marshall visits. And so builds the case that our neighborhoods and venues should be further sanitized and shut down. All this while the word "urban" is used and overused to describe what's going on in these new developments, while shoving suburban banality and feature(?) down everyone's throats. Condo dwellers = NIMBYs. It's classic. Even if these things were in their backyards (or driveways) before they got there. They don't care. Haven't you noticed? When there's money flowing in, police begin acting really weird. Haven't you noticed?

BTW, those shirts those guys sell are printed in the neighborhood and are sold at no profit.
