Song Life is Not a Cameron Crowe Movie (and No, Jawbreaker Isn’t the Only Band I Like), But…

If life were a John Hughes Cameron Crowe movie, then this is the song that would blast from the boombox being held up in the air by the trench-coat wearing boy standing outside my apartment:
(Yeah, sorry. It’s more Jawbreaker bullshit. I’ll stop talking about them eventually. It’s just that 24-Hour sounds so good in the spring and summer!)
Out of curiosity, what song would you want Lloyd Dobbler to play for you?

Fucking fantastic song!
He'd be good at Guided By Voices covers, no?
He doesn't drink enough to do GBV covers.
What's with Pollards chain-smoking anyway?
Keep talking about jawbreaker -- who else does? It reminds me to listen to them more. I hit a saturation pouint after leaving Dear You in the car CD player for a month.
Sping also is time for Husker Du - New Day Rising...
I'd choose something by Smoking Popes, which is also great spring/summer music.
First chords = goosebumps. Everyone should talk about Jawbreaker at least 47% more often than they currently do. Even though now I do feel more than a little bit old...
I wish I could find my old vinyl copy of _24 Hour..._. I covered it with scratches from playing while enjoyng Mickey's...Chirs B. the bass player was a hero of mine, indeed. "Condition Oakland" still gives me goose bumps.
