i don't know why they don't pair or triple up artists to play together, not just on the same stage but *together*. it'd be a coup to get some of these peeps to perform together. i remember seeing bushwick bill play with...um...er...damn...it doesn't matter, it was bushwick bill playing with someone!!

not everyone can go watch the grammys live to see this kind of megastar collaberation, bumbershoot, bring it to the people.

I'm pretty sure Bushwick Bill was up there with Public Enemy, no? That was awesome.

I think the only band up there that's really exciting me is Seaweed (there are plenty of others I'd like to see, but none that don't come through Seattle at least once or twice a year anyway). Not sure if I'll be able to come up with the money/interest/stamina to make it out this year.

I hope it's not just me getting older, but back in the day when Bumbershoot was $8-$10 a day, I remember the lineups being a lot more impressive. Ween, P-Funk, Vernon Reid, Los Lobos, REM, just some great shows. Each year the price goes up, and to me the enterainment factor goes down. Wu-Tang is the only show this year that would be interesting, but with Wu-Tang, you never know who in the Wu will show up. You might get Raekwan's personal stylist, the nephew of Capadonna and the Wu bus driver. Thanks but no thanks again, Bumbershit.
