This is nothing compared to the lift of the Rubinoos "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" if that could even really said to be something. I can completely believe that it would not take a thousand monkeys sitting at a thousand AKAI samplers for a thousand years to come up with both these brain-dead "beatz" and the pathethic non-rap. The only battle between these musical atrocities that I could support would involve mutually assured destruction. DIAF, Peachez. DIAF, Avril.
The resemblance, musically, is less powerful than that between "My Sweet Lord" and "He's So Fine" ... Stylistically more similar, at least. Nonetheless, no grounds for legal action. But I'm with #8. It is grounds for hot lesbo actions.

even if it werent id like to see peaches kick avrils ass.
Mud wrestle?

the "does anybody care" comment is such a classic.
you answer your own question by asking it, rt.

Peaches should be able to fuck Avril hard with a huge black strap-on.

I saw the Rubinoos story too. I loved her "I've never even heard of that band!" defense. Um, no shit Avril, but whomever wrote that song I best has.
I see the point, but c'mon... It's not like Peaches hasn't been guilty of plagiarism.
Although she has tank-loads more credibility in my eyes...
its peaches for gods sake. wasnt great first time round. like adult. wtf happened...
Let's keep caring.
We live in an age overrun with homages. Nearly every song in recent times is an homage to another one. Aren't we all used to it by now?
It's a great time to be a lawyer (it's always a great time to be a lawyer).
