There are two Northwest dates on the Cure’s just-announced fall tour:

OMGWTFBBQ!!!11!!! I am so freakin excited.
Will they tour with actual members of The Cure, or Smith and a bunch of studio musician jackoffs? They played Coachella a couple years ago with the latter arrangment, and blew.
I don't mean to be a downer, and I'm hoping for the best, but if they roll out that same backing band this show will suck.
Disintegration was their last good album. I'm so glad I got to see them before they started to suck. I'm tempted to check out this show in October, but will have very low expectations if I do.
Yes, of course Disintegration is incredibly great start to end, and a lot of more recent albums will never be as grand or epic, but...
IT IS THE CURE!
Robert Smith never 'started sucking' - he is still amazing, and one of the most interesting people ever to go from underground to the big world of pop.
I better get me some front row tix like at the '92 wish tour, please.
