first of all, how could anyone think the original letter was real? second-of-ly, the fact that the pumpkins camp has to rep the band regarding a random press story w/ snarky humor means they are trying to not only deflate any belief in it, but are also trying to relate to the "cool kids". newsflash to major labels: you're still evil; go work on not declaring bankruptcy or something more important.
