I'd say the kids overreacted. Personally, if I have a choice, I'll always pick a 21+ show over an all-ages show. All-ages shows are a drag for adults, much of the time. First, there are the various hassles about alcohol, which you don't have at 21+ shows. Then, if you like being near the stage and get to the show early to stake out a spot, it's just more fun being among other adults than teenagers; just more interesting to talk to. Also, at all-ages shows, you're a lot more likely to find people (usually underage girls) trying to push their way to the front after the supporting act, which is very uncool, imo. Also, some bands get wilder and raunchier with a 21+ crowd, which works for me.

anyone who thinks eric is innocent is wrong. him and the whole paper only report on their scenster buddies and dance music. capitol hill is their turf and if eric doesn't get to play a part then he wants to crush it. has anyone even heard half of the awful, terrible music that he and the other writers cover? head like a kite? awful- natlie portmans head? awful- girl talk? terrible. i hope the stranger never writes about the other underground shows that happen in this town. i know they happen with out eric's permission and don't give kudos to the strangers long fight against TDO, which by the way,the TDO didn't matter. why doesn't the stranger try to shut down Neumos? they are terrible now. i mean really awful. and how about the securtiy guards at showbox? shut them down! stop touting these terrible scensters for the really haphazard job they do. no sympathy for the stranger/scene industry.
