Tonight Also Tonight In Music - Back Door Opens

Havana is one of my favorite spots because no matter what the music is or the night of the week, there will be people drunk off their ass, dancing to whatever the DJ happens to be playing. Well, tonight (and most Thursdays) the overindulgers will be dancing to house music, since tonight’s the opening for Back Door. As always I won’t be drinking, but I will be there taking in the mayhem.

Havana is one of your favorite places because there's always people "drunk of their ass", but you don't drink? And you work at The Stranger, no less! C'mon Donte, unless you have liver problems or some other some medical condition, stop living life vicariously and take the plunge! The oldest person in the world just died at 114 years old, and they say she was sharp right up until the end. Her secret? An alcoholic beverage every single day. Just think, if she had five alcoholic beverages everyday she could have lived to like 500! Obviously, drinking is good for you. I'm buying you a drink next time I see you out - a double - and you're gonna drink it and be happy, dammit.
Why is it that people who don't drink have to let you know it? So what if you don't. Drawing attention to it does nothing but make you look like you either judge those who do, or are a recovered alcoholic. Which one is it? Also, who cares?
