With warm weather fading fast, you better enjoy the outside while you can. After our five week long summer, it’s time to get ready for an eleven month winter, and celebrate Lake Fest.

There is a pet parade, a rochambeau tournament, fun kid stuff, music, a beer garden, and a vomiting contest. Ok, so there’s not a vomiting contest, but there is a pet parade.

This was pretty cool last year (year before that?). I picked up a Stephanie "Pure" button and watched some bands. A teenage bellevue act was riffin! I saw the singer later that month, standing behind him at Dick's. To my 'godniece' h.s.junior, we talked overhead about tattoos and suburban kids slumming it via the influence of Ave down-and-outers. I'm sweating like a hog.
I think it got down into the 40's last night. I was freezing. I was like, 'Wait, it's August, I shouldn't be wearing a parka.'
I'm glad we're here though. Las Vegas is probably 40 degree C
