It'll make me happy when I see it. MIA's missed 2 out of 3 scheduled Seattle area dates; I'd be thrilled if this show evens that score. Kala is fucking brilliant, and "$20" and "Paper Planes" should blow the roof off the (cleverly named) Showbox Sodo (see, 'cause it's like the showbox, only south of the dome—although, now we don't have any domes, only open air stadiums).
Geez, I'm not typically a gambling man, but I don't think I can resist getting a ticket to a possible MIA show. Should we start a betting pool on whether she'll actually be able to show?
Her studio material is good, but she's kinda boring live.
she played a set at the treasure island fest in san francisco this weekend, so maybe the visa problems are in the past.
