Feist is AMAZING!! Always has been and her new album lived up to the expectations I had. This is one of my favorite songs on the record, so much fun! I definitely don't think this video "newly minted corporate shill." If anything, she is poking fun and this totally fits in to the other videos she has done. She is an artist that makes great music and isn't worried about people taking her seriously.
I do think Feist is selling her music up the ying yang, but she's not unlistenable, and this video is pretty great. Anything with this many primary colors will make me happy, guaranteed. She'll probably just be the next Postal Service or whatever--the music will pop up everywhere for the next ten years, she'll make a bunch of money, and everything will stay universally inoffensive.
I've been a Feist-hater since day one. I've never understood why people love the indierock Sade they way that they do, but I must admit: the first time I saw this video, I almost took it all back. This video is great and matches the song perfectly. I still don't like her, but this video was damn close to winning me over.
mmmm, Tripe. Gotta get some pho in me.
yeah, couldn't make it past the first minute. not surprised she's glitzen out. a rep from Matador told me in the spring that she was stoked on Feist. of course i replied, "you mean Faust, right?"
this video has been out FOREVER! new? where have you guys been? oh, you must have just seen it on the apple commercial. once again, line out is a day late and a brain short.
i love this song and video. definitely having a laugh. and wisely spending a video budget on real entertainment.
goddamn ari, do you ever NOT say anything without hedging all your hipster bets? so definitive, yet oddly vague and entirely preditable. just say you like the fucking song/video.
the only way to take you seriously is to pick up what you're putting down: ari spool knows everything.
I liked it when I saw it a few months ago and I still like it. If I'm supposed to hate her for shilling for Apple I guess I also have to hate Bob Dylan et al. I just haven't got the energy. I wish artists didn't feel they had to sell their music this way to get paid, but there it is.
At least Apple is a decent product, and as far as I know Apple doesn't have a nuclear weapons division or a poison baby-formula division or anything like that. Hell I'm typing this on an Apple.

This video is pretty rad, to say the least. Feist + anything sequin-studded = unbeatable.
Also, the video was shot in one take in one day of filming. They went to thrift stores, bought primary colors, practiced for the day and shot it.
I think the same was done for her video for My Moon, My Man, which is her actual new video. Because this one's old. In case you haven't read that 15 times already.

not buying it.
I like the weird nerdiness of it and the simple happiness it conveys- something we could all use a lot more of in these dark days.
It looks like a bunch of hipsters looted an American Apparel store. Feist rocks though, as does this video.
Good song, fun video. I dig it.
@3 - what do you have against Sade?
I call bullshit on Feist. Anyone that saw the Vis-a-Vis society's Mandance knows she totally stole our moves.
I prefer Mocky.
Oh, but it's so soothing.

Wrong video for the product. All that stuff going on on screen, and it's shrunk to less than 1/16th of whatever size television screen it's on.
This video was out in early summer. It may be her newest (or not), but it certainly isn't new.
good christ i hate this song, and they're playing the shit out of the commercial lately...thank you for telling me who to avoid!

I just want to know...is it a Spike Jonze video ? It certainly smacks of him.
i'm in love with feist now.
