"in the air tonight": certainly ominous in NYC on sept 10. but if you havent heard, its actually a gorilla thats playing drums on the track.

that hotel is gorgeous. I recommend that bar. the design is pretty immaculate.
Whoa! A Megan post with more observations than commentary?
Maybe you should stay in New York. It's made you seem at least 22.
Did I miss the irony-gram that went out and said it's hip to listen to Phil Collins again? Christ, I've heard more of that shit in the last month than I did in '83.
Hudson has a couple of bars, although it's raining so that's a bit of a bummer. There's a hidden burger place at the Meridien fairly nearby (people walk in NYC) that you should check out for lunch. The Soup Nazi's place is closer if it's ever open anymore.
left coast is right. Hit up Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien on 56th (just west of 6th). Enter the lobby. Head straight back toward the rear desk. Turn left down the skinny hall. Follow the neon burger. The burger is insanely good. But do not order like an ass. Trust me - have it ready. Prepare while you're in line.

Brian, you don't need to call bullshit on everything. Phil Collins has made some good music and there are people who genuinely like his work. No irony. That "hipster irony" shit is a comfortable, conveneint dismissal for people who can't or won't embrace something for what it is.
Don't worry, you're still as cool or as anti-cool as you feel the need to be, Phil Collins or no.
Everybody repeat after me:
it's = it is
it's = it is
it's = it is
it's = it is
it's = it is
it's = it is
it's = it is
