The DMV lady was playing this on the boombox inside her Cubicle of Apathy:
Full disclosure: I’ve been coerced into karaokeing this song as a duet before. And I liked it.
Hey, we call it the DOL here, buddy.
youre totally right, levi. i guess i noticed that but didnt really register it. whats up w that?
It's just how we roll. Some states have a Department of Motor Vehicles; some (such as Massachusetts) have a Registry of Motor Vehicles; we have a Department of Licensing, which covers all types of licenses, including those for drivers.
well ill be. w every lesson like this, i get closer and closer to official seattleite status. i give it another 15-18 months.
dont do it! you'll end up woking @ the stranger. for me, stay golden.
What song?
"easy lover" by phil collins and that other guy
which, now that i think about it, and now that im no longer inside that officious pergatory, isnt so apalling to hear at the DOL.
"Other guy"?! You gonna call Phillip Bailey the "other guy"?
dang, that's harsh.
I secretly would not change the station if that came on the radio.
it was only coercion until you go the mic in your hand. then before i knew it you were on your knees.
