Really? I just heard this band for the first time last week, and it struck me as pretty middle-of-the-road, cheeseball, yah-dude kinda stuff.

Yeah, but it's all about the look, Levi. Just look at those, hot, sweaty, portly, old, Blueshammering dads. So hot!

Really? Which album(s) you listen to? They're mainly R&B/funk based with some rock infusion, not much strictly blues speaking.
If that isn't your bag then probably nothing there for ya.

I'm sorry, but why did anyone ever give a shit about these guys?

Beside the obvious Pearl Jam connection, I'd say it has mainly to do with the people involved being part of the Seattle scene/establishment since the 80s, which according to many, w/o their influence the early 90s wouldn't have happened. And believe it or not, there are still a lot of people alive that listened, and still listen to that era of music and what has followed.

JimBob, you misunderstand me. I know who they are, I know who they're friends with, I know how they figure in Seattle history. What I'm saying is, listening to the music, I still can't figure out why anyone ever gave a shit.

oKay-Well now you're talking, and I whole-heartedly agree.

The only folk I know that were into Brad, jus' happened to be members of the Pearl Jam fan club.

But if my memory serves, the Stranger was all over Shawn Smith's other band Pigeonhed circa '97...
