Nice, fair review. I'd give them a pass this time only knowing that they're just days away from coming home to a choked charred part of the country. Rob was really shy and non-talkative, which is very unlike him. I think even Zach outspoke him on the mic which is really saying something.

I saw Pinback for the first time last year and had the same reaction - I love Pinback and was happy and surprised to see the fervor of the rest of the crowd. I really wanted to like them live, but I wasn't that impressed.
