Tonight in Music (Or, What Are You Doing On the Computer, It’s a Beautiful Fall Day)

posted by on October 6 at 13:00 PM

The Blakes and the Saturday Knights are playing tonight at Easy Street in West Seattle. It’s an after-hours show, which means there’s a cover (unlike most in-stores) but alcohol will be served (unlike all in-stores).

Built to Spill play the last of three consecutive shows at the Showbox at the Market.

Band of Horses are playing FOR FREE at the Vera Project.

Now, go outside. Here’s a little inspiration:

I missed the BOAT, they went on much later than 2. The Elephants were funny "avacado sandwhiches are better than cigarettes 'and great be-blop- had songs about mindless consumption and Tina's ideas -- from Tacoma.

i forgot to mention. The Elephants played in a parking lot, which brings up the point someone makes in the thread about the EMP shooting.

it was a Parking Lot! where 3 items were on the menu - beer, water and soft pretzels. the bouncer ("patrolling cop") at the sidewalk entrance didn't allow admission to dogs. Health considerations? Well, it was great to hear that from a 300lb tub of lard, knowing he personnaly is concerned about health. He was polite and all, but criminy, it was a Parking Lot serving rubbish. I was thinking of applying for a bouncer job, but ya know, you just end up being a tool for some regulation Nahtsey boss who erases all too often common sense.

So yeah, what was that NYC No Wave band called, No Safety? Curlew? yeah , man i'm reachin back to the Spitsburgh (you don't want to hear the story about who I heard refer to it as spitsburgh) days again, ugh, blame me for not having a point. 21-0 means nothing to me.
