Umm, yeah, cuz the classic rock format is so filled with young artists.
Do you think it could have anything to do with the song "Radio Nowhere," which is a pretty thinly veiled indictment of how Clear Channel has ruined radio?
Or perhaps they refused to pay-off the right people.
This meshes well with the radio story in the print edition this week. Look, there was a time when radio was king but, with the internet, you can hear plenty of Springsteen with a simple mouse click. Or you can mail order his new CD from several retailers. The days of Clear Channel and Wal-Mart sanitation are over, so the former's decision not to play The Boss is, in the end, no big deal.
I haven't listened to a broadcast radio station in two years. Sirius has a fairly decent stable of indie/alt stations, and it would be just too painful listening to shilling DJs, insipid ads, and generally lame tracks on regular radio now.
People still listen to the radio?
