Hearing that vocal interpretation of Whole Lotta Love is all the explanation anyone could ever need for why they remain an instrumental band.

For a beginning guitar player, discovering the Ventures is a godsend. I took up guitar in the Era of the Shredder, and hearing the Ventures (and the Ramones) convinced me that I could actually learn how to play music even if I never mastered Eruption.

That was an editors (Zwickel? Horn?) addition, so I dunno who or where it was sourced from, but it was added after I'd split work on Friday so I couldn't get it corrected. However, I gave them the "Seattle roots" as I didn't know off the top of my head if they were from Tacoma or (South) Seattle-ish and I didn't have anyone to double check with as I (swiftly) wrote the piece Friday right before quitting work. Um, and I'm not sure what a "proto-rocer" is either...I'll find out Monday tho'! HA!
