You don't see big giant rock concerts like this anymore. The band's set was fucking amazing. They worked their nuts off on stage. 3rd row seats gave a great vantage point for the interaction between members. They were genuinely having a blast.

Right from the start the energy was at peak levels and went higher from there. I am hard pressed to think of a song they didnt do. One song after another with hardly a pause in between. And the best part of their set ,imho, was that spectacular drum solo. Having been to more than 100 concerts in my time I put this in my top 10.
And finally... not one Van Hagar song. What more could you possibly ask for. This was without a doubt the best concert of the year and well worth the $150 ticket price.

100 concerts is pretty good, i guess. ive gone to three or four shows a week for the last several years, so i know im pretty jaded about this stuff. there was a point right after midway where my mind wandered. eddie took A LONGASS time to get to the good part of "eruption." there were a few moments--esp at the beginning--where they seemed to be a bit off the mark, musically. but youre right--the energy level was red-lined the whole time. it was a really good show, for sure, especially if you only go to a few shows a year, which is the case for most of the crowd there. they delivered just about everything you could want.
