Journey sucked in the 80's and they still suck now.

Journey is the Matchbox 20 of the 70s and 80s.

Van Halen may be irrelevant today, but some of their tunes were pretty rockin' in their day. But Journey has always sucked. Always. The only people who like Journey are younger listeners who missed them when they were in mainstream radio play. The rest of us changed the station then and can't believe--CANNOT FUCKING BELIEVE--that there's some sort of non-ironic Journey-fandom revival going on in the minds of under-35-year-old hipsters. STOP. Journey's bad. Abba's bad. Bon Jovi's bad.

I wouldn't say they're the Matchbox 20 of their day, they're more remarkable. More offensive. They're Weezer.

bon jovi had some stellar moments. i nominate "living on a prayer" on the quintessential 80s rock song.

If you think that Journey is more offensive than Matchbox 20, then you haven't been listening to pop/adult contemporary radio for the last 10 years.
