Oh the wigger got whacked - that shirt and slogan really need to be reconsidered - just stupid.

Love the Blue Scholars, love the sound, love the messages, love the NW themes. And that Saturday Knights EP is just unbelievable. I defy anyone to listen to that and not think that Seattle hip hop is going to be massive. The system is just so clogged with the same unlistenable crap that it's taking time to be huge, but it is going to be huge or there is positively something wrong with hip hop.

Something wrong with hip hop?
Is there anything right with hip hop?

lol @ vordul getting his jaw broken.

internet beef is the worst, i like how that messageboard string features a series of veiled threats from a series of veiled posters hiding behind avatars. honestly, when i read this article yesterday, i thought hip-hop fans would be the least likely to start messageboard hating (if anything, indie fans should be salty, i'm just saying).

...and indie hip-hop wonders why it has problems with press coverage! learn to take a complement.

i like how no one on the stranger staff (and particularly grandy) seem to have the ability to apologize for anything they write. it's always construed, in some follow-up, as someone else misinterpreting what was written.
can anyone at the stranger admit fault, or stand behind what they write? apparently not.

No way, Grandy! You're goin' down! We settle this the old fashioned way...speed reading, puppet show, staring contest, macrame, whatever, you name it. I'm there!

OK, look, you guys. I spazzed. I know it. It happens.

I woke up around 4pm, still pretty hammered. Seeing my name in print eclipsed the entire focus of the article. Slow to action, cool headed intellectual that I am, I elected to forego reflection and immediately vented on the message board I frequent.

After I read the article again later I saw it for what it was and figured I need to just take my lumps about the whole affair and relax.

You reported it the way it went down, Eric. I got into it with a couple dudes over some shit one of them said on a message board. That's what happened. I just felt so dorky and embarassed reading that about myself.

Barfly: The internet message board nerd thug.

Great.
