Eric, Is that Murphy+Mahoney album available in the US now? Did you put together a list of your top albums for 2007?

the fabric mix is available pretty widely (and inexpensively) despite being an import. i think easy street has it for under $15.

you should use that $15 to buy 'alive 2007' though, the first ten minutes are better than lcd soundsystem's entire career to date.

You really hate LCD enough to compare a "live greatest hits remix" to their entire catalogue?

i like lcd, but not as much as the buildup and transition from 'robot rock' into 'oh yeah'. i can't think of one lcd soundsystem song with that rhythmic complexity or fantastic mastering (which is possibly unfair because part of murphy's kitsch is the mastering is bad as to be edgy???).

just picked up the live 07 daft punk album ... and really enjoyin' it. yes, I missed out on all the DPunk hoopla last time they were here...which I now regret.

That was probably Tom Petty's best album he ever put together. Definitely the last great one.
