I've been enjoying the Staxx Brothers' hiphop/funk/whatEVER-but-it's-good record, 12th St Blues. They're local -- from Bothell of all places.

On the bus this morning I listened to Brian Eno's "Here Come the Warm Jets" for the first time.

The new Mountain Goats album, Heretic Pride, fills me with glee and mirth today.

Tyler just hipped me to "Cochin Moon" by Haruomi Hosono & Tadanori Yokoo. Fucking amazing. Thirty years ahead of their time.

I'm digging the new Devastations record (Yes U). Crap album cover, but the music has a bass-heavy death-disco vibe. Kind of a Roxy Music meets Feedtime thing (they're also from Australia). Methinks they like them some opiates.
