Upcoming If You’re in a Band READ THIS

Also: DJs, solo musicians, or anyone else in this city that creates music and wants to get shows and/or attention for doing so, you’re eligible too!
Our annual Musician’s Directory is coming up—fast. If you’re a musician, you need to be in this guide—it’ll be out in the beginning of March and it’s a Rolodex of every single local band. Bookers, promoters, and other bands can use it to get in touch with you. It’ll run online and in the paper and if you’re not listed, you don’t exist.
For complete instructions, go to http://www.thestranger.com/bandform. It’s completely free and easy.
You can also upload songs and photos to your page—and all bands who have a band’s page are eligible to get played on Setlist. Sweet action, right? I know!
So do it.
(Update: If you have specific questions about it, you can e-mail bandspage@thestranger.com. You can also leave a comment, I will be checking in to answer anything I can.)

Just curious: How come you got rid of the booker/label section of the directory (print and online)? That was a really nice thing to have while it lasted.
A question: how is this new rolodex different from the stranger bands page? will the bands page be deleted?

@1: Good question. I'm not sure what decided that to be honest. But we are talking about adding that feature online in the future. Glad to hear it was helpful!
@2: The bands pages won't be deleted, but if you already have a page but don't update your description (verifying you're still an active band) then you won't be included in the new directory.
@3: I don't eat spam. I'm a vegetarian.
This is about as useful as signing up for Sonic Bids. It's fucking RUBBISH. Don't do it.
