That breakdown w/ the fake playing by daft punk didnt really work going back into Kanye's rapping. There were weird awkward pauses. Kanye seemed really nervous.
Yea, that fake daft punk thing was weird. There arent any programs that are available to the public that allow you to run music software off of a touchscreen yet-though they could have been running a beta version. And, you could tell they werent playing in time w/ the music.
I hope he kisses the ground everyday. That guy is lucky. Plain and simple. THere is WAY more talent out there. Way more. He just happened to make it. Diddy and Kanye. Lucky men. Shit performers.
that was a pretty crazy performance for the usually tame tv (on cbs, no less). the part that made me crack up was the close-up and hold on the pyramid opening.
@6:
that software is nice, but seemingly limited. it's great if you are trying to look like you are from tron (which worked well here), but i'm hesitant to use anything based on a touch screen. it seemed like a 16 pad mpc-type touch screen, which could go very wrong if the screen goes out. it worked well here though, i liked that they took liberties with the samples towards the end and it totally didn't match up to the tempo of kanye or the song.
also, 'we are the night' is just industry people picking a name they know. i don't think anyone liked that album.
i still don't get. keep calling him a genius and i guess that makes it true.
and daft punk were maybe just thiiiiis much better than gilbert and lewis at the greek games talent show. that was a lot of touchscreens and readouts required to hit "play."
I came.
How the hell does he see out of those awesome glowing glasses?
i can't believe they showed daft punk's equipment. how rad was that?
Kanye suffers from "Puff Daddy Syndrome". Horrible rapper, excellent producer.

Totally. This is his "Kashmir."
Also, this is the gear they were "playing" with—not the same as the setup they had for their actual tour, but a lot more fun to look at.
Also, can someone explain to me how the fuck We Are the Night beat Sound of Silver? Was it because of the fucking "Salmon Dance"?!

@6- I stand corrected. That looks cool!

Where do I find those shades?
weel, thank god he even let daft punk on stage! he's such a fucking ego-maniac!
i hate how slow the track is though, it always sounds too crunky. can kanye speak any faster. if not. shut up.
@12:
it's like 106 bpm. it's faster than 98% of the hip-hop singles out last year.
I agree @12. It's just so much slower than the source material, it feels like some kind of awful crossover K-hole.
yawn.

I'm sorry, did he say, "be my black Kate Moss tonight?"
I like it.
