I think what blew my mind most, besides the ball-mulching sonic force, was realizing that despite the tribal nature of it, none of the drums were really improvised. through the whole thing they were making changes on a dime. it was like an hour and a half tribal drum concerto with no sheet music.

word. i wonder what band practice is like.

Sounds a lot like the show I saw in Philly in 2006. Except that place had crazy-low ceilings. I'm bummed I missed this one.
