I know this is beside the point, but I really appreciate how you don't get the sense from the video that Clapton thinks that you're watching a historical moment in the history of rock n' roll. I hate those blues guys who just sit on a stool and play. Even if I'm paying $250 or more, I want to feel like Clapton's doing me a favor and knows that he's a living legend. gmafb.
Might I recommend a youtube search for "shreds". A fair number of the results are of people posting re-recorded videos. I recommend "Def Leppard Shreds".

I've been a fan of St. Sanders since the Santana video. That Malmsteen one is his Sgt. Pepper's.
He's biting Terje Rypdal something fierce.
The Ozzy vid is his best one.
