I just got this week’s lists of the best-selling NW artists from local record stores (which I use to compile NW Top 10), and Easy Street West Seattle’s list had two random records:
Neither sold enough (if any) at other stores, so they didn’t make it on to the top 10; Fleet Foxes are still #1.
A few weeks ago, I would've guessed that such an anomaly says more about depressingly low record sales across the board than the resurgent popularity of middling grunge, but what with the STP reunion, I just don't know what to think anymore.
I happened to hear "the Ricker" talking about Mad Season on the radio last week.
I'm sure the other person listening to this radio genius ran out and bought that album.

"Dirt" isn't "middling" anything. It's a great fuckin' record. Boom.
Not that I buy physical media much anymore, but the bass on that Mad Season CD is fucking killer. Still one of my alltime fave albums.
