<description><![CDATA[<p>Not to pick at your analysis, but isn't the line "Every thing's gonna get LIGHTER, even if it doesn't get better"? I believe that that sentiment is in response to the initial line "Forget your politics for a while". Personally, I think the message MOS are trying to convey is a positive one that might be paraphrased as "if [the protagonist] would just take a break from the rigidness of his/her personal politics for a while and appreciate life for the huge, beautiful, colorful, messy thing it is, then the pressure of holding those beliefs so strongly will be relieved from "one's shoulders" (the "lightening"). Of course, the act of letting it go for a while will probably not, in itself, make "things better" permanently, but who knows?</p>]]></description>
