Are you sure it's a fake?

Um, half this post is about how I'm worried that maybe it's not, so, if I had to guess, based only on reading words and interpreting what they mean, I would guess that, no, I'm not sure.

I'll be bummed out if it's not, though.

if girl talk were smart, he'd leak an absurdly bad fake version of his own album.

'losing my edge' "i was there" moment:
when girl talk was in high school, he was part of a circuit bending / prankster group called the joysticks. i saw one of their final shows (at a skating rink), which consisted of an elaborate stage set up of old tv's and stereo equipment. they played a modified version of the a-team theme on a boombox, lit the stage set up on fire and threw full sized watermelons at the crowd. i haven't seen him since he blew up with the kids, but i don't think he can top a stunt like that...

It's fake; been the same fake since March. You probably listened to this dude's tracks instead: http://www.myspace.com/speakymusic

Personally, I thought Speaky's stuff has its moments--but you gotta wade through the first 15 mins before the guy works up some momentum (something I'd actually say about the bootleg Girl Talk Block Party MP3s from last year, actually).
