So, Whitney got bumped, or did the bumping? I'm confused.

I'm confused too. I think Nirvana did the bumping.

Greedtone's overdrive pedal rules! The best pedal I've ever heard. It's about time they got some recognition!!!

Nirvana bumped Whitney Huston off the charts, I'm dyslexic and was deprived of my coffee. Thanks!

That was cute and everything, but pretty much worthless. You don't learn anything about the store beyond what year they opened in Seattle, and you don't learn anything about the pedal except what it is theoretically intended to do.

I don't get it. What was the point?

Well Matthew, the point?

It's an introduction to the pedal with some basic description about what it does, who makes it, and how it implements filters to maintain some of the instrument's tone. A nugget about transparency, and Nirvana bumping Whitney/Whitney bumping Nirvana on the day the store opened told by a man who's got some character. Lastly a demonstration of how it screws in securely.

You can't do much with 3 and half minutes of video. Click the link if you want more.

I'm sorry you are so beyond this video, Matthew. I have fallen way short of your standards and for that I am sorry. Now go back to studying your calculus. You need not glimpse the lameness of my pitiful and worthless videos anymore.

If the input of a function is time, then the derivative of that function is the rate at which the function changes

f(x) = x to the 2nd.
f? = 2x

I like Greedy Greg, I like his pedals, thought I have never owned one, I have seen them in use and liked the (greed)tone. MRX Studios have some preamps Greg made that I liked as well. I sometimes wish I could transfer the sound of distortion into writing, but then it might look all wiggly, and old people would find it hard to read. or maybe it would look like one of the 3d posters that you have to stare at until you see a boat or a unicorn, that would be cool. In a clipped squarewave kinda way.

you don't have to be such a snide ass. he was simply pointing out that in 2008, it's kind of expected that a video clip of an effects pedal will have a sound portion.

Does the sound of an effects pedal, played through the internet on your computer speakers give you much of an idea of what an effects pedal sounds like anyway?! Why would you waste your energy on such a stupid argument ...Maybe you guys should turn off the Star Trek, get off your Grandma's couch, head over to Trading Musician and try one out for yourselves!

(I liked the video Trent...Thanks for the info!)

I like Greedtones, they rock! And I like Trading Musician too, can't imagine the Seattle music scene without either of them. Thank you Trent for shining a brief and small, but none the less well deserved light of attention on both of these Seattle 'institutions'!

Kudos to Trent, Michael and Greg for their contributions to the music scene in Seattle!!! Ciao!

ew,

If there are thousands of videos giving you what you need and want, why would you waste your precious time and energy stopping in here and being a douche? (Because actually, you are the douche, full blown douche.)

If you don't like the video, move on to one of the many other ones that there are.

Thanks for playing, but there are enough douches already.

well, assuming you're Trent,

the only reason I commented this thread at all is because you (him, etc) flew off the handle at the suggestion that the video have a sound clip. while this original suggestion wasn't exactly tactfully worded, it did have a point, namely, that the original video hadn't one.

personally, I thought the guy who owned the music store seemed pretty interesting and had no problem with him. i didn't need to be given calculus problems (by extension) or told to " turn off the Star Trek, get off your Grandma's couch." both those suggestions are pretty douchey.

make better posts and be less defensive about them, dude.

no, ew, you don't need calculus problems. you need:

DOUCHE REPELLENT!!! Haaaaahaaaa. Here, put a whole bunch on. Slather that shit all over. That's it. And take some anti-douche pills. Seriously. You've got to stop acting like such a huge douche. Right now!
