Line Out - Comments on I Dance to Metal

Girl Talk on CD? An awesome insta-party when I'm riding Cap Metro. Girl Talk on stage? Meh. Hearing exact remixes from Night Ripper and Feed the Animals in concert is kinda like hearing an exact joke from a stand-up comedian's...

What about all of the brand new combinations of material from girltalk? He does new live interpretations of familiar material. Every show i've seen of his has been compeltely different. He rarely plays stuff straight up for albums, lots of different variations and performances of it. i thought it was fantastic!

The fact that you gave any attention to something as lame as Girl Talk, (and then mention The Dodos as "‘Sfine,") means that you should not by any means be covering live shows for a living. I hope this was some kind of freelance thing and that you don't actually earn money telling people about live shows, since your "review" seems more like a review of yourself than anything you witnessed at the show. Seriously, I can do way better.

Pleasureboaters were one of my favorite shows at the block party. Lead singer evokes worship and full body spasms.
