Days go by. The economic climate changes. And now the Queen of hiphop is repping the arctic.
Yes, Latifah is the narrator of Arctic Tale. So sad, so sad.
why is this sad? aside from a horribly awful soundtrack and trailer maybe it will entertain the children.
What? You mean, she decided to cash a paycheck?
The horror. She did inoffensive VO work! So, so sad ... for someone personally opposed to to her paying her bills, I guess.
And if you think it's news that Latifah isn't exactly leading a "It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" revolution or at least producing revolutionary grooves for hip hop, you're 10 years too late.
But I can understand. All that time trapped in a room with Wittgenstein. Takes a lot out of a man. Are there philosophical problems, or merely puzzles? Which does it represent that Charles Mudede turns out endless dreck to earn his living, and, in his stream of piss contributions to Slog, finds it "sad" that Queen Latifah does the very same?
This may be too harsh.
did you know she's also in the norton anthology of african american literature? she's been there, done that with repping the kulture for smarties. latifah took care of herself, lost all semblance of "edge," and is now tryna sip patron responsibly and be a woman. i'm bout it, and look forward to her next inoffensive move.
